How do the auto-wrap curling barrels pull the hair by themselves?
The curling barrels use a principle of physics called the Coanda effect. The tool blows fast air out of small vents, and that air naturally follows the curved shape of the round barrel, creating a small vortex. When you bring the ends of your hair close to it, the air stream catches the strands and wraps them around the barrel for you.
Will the Shark FlexStyle cause split ends or heat damage?
No, it will not. Unlike traditional straighteners or curling irons that press hot metal directly against your hair, the FlexStyle styles using controlled warm air. Because the internal sensors check the temperature 1,000 times a second, the heat stays at a safe level that will not break or damage your hair.
What is the difference between the 4-in-1 and 5-in-1 sets?
This 4-in-1 version is specifically put together for wavy, curly, and coily hair. It leaves out the flat paddle brush found in the 5-in-1 kit and replaces it with the adjustable diffuser. This makes it much better for drying curls, defining patterns, and building volume without ruining your natural shape.
Is this tool heavy or awkward to use if you have thick hair?
